Pinhas my dear friend!
While you were still
alive, you told me and read to me countless times
excited to tears gratitude letters due to involvement
in doing and giving good: Nature, Man, Society, a workplace,
the military…
Now I can only see and hear you with my mind’s eyes.
I shall say thanks from the bottom of the heart, for
granting, and thanks are being said to you for your
contribution to the founding of a naturist organization in
Israel.
Pinhas friends in the Society truly want to keep and
commemorate your memory by a wood you would have surely
loved.
Rest in peace only well.

First I apologize for not handling the language since I have
not been too long in this country.
I met
Pinhas three years ago.
First of
all he was first naturist in the country.
He
developed the
INS: I think he was a true naturist. He did a lot for the
INS, he
always helped me get rides and with all questions to do with
the INS.
He was a
serious man with good heart.
When he was
in the
INS there were the most nice and true people. The meetings had many people
and were pleasant.
Pinhas is
in my heart and we should take many things from his ideology
- ideology of naturism.

The INS did well to plant trees in Pinhas’s memory. The
trees as symbol of Nature, growth, diligence and
striving to light.
Without his devotion in the way of naturism the INS
would have not been founded.
Pinhas had much influence making sure that the Society
was designed by the light of the vast experience of
similar older societies in the wide world.
We shall save his memory by keeping an open Society to
any man who loves Nature, freedom and sunlight, within
the Society’s code and the goodwill of the members.
We shall keep the frame, which enables any human:
children, youth, grown ups and old people to feel as
free men under the sky!

Pinhas, an orthodox, resolved and devoted naturist, was the one who
introduced me to organized naturism in
Israel and infected me with his love to it.
His attitude to social nudity was almost religious, for he took it for a
powerful healing factor and believed that it could
bring out of Man - any man - its best. That was why
he thought that we should accept all applicants
without discrimination: Coming for whatever strange
reasons they had, they may yet come for naturism’s
sake.
His commitment to promoting naturism in
Israel was absolute and captivating. He tolled day
and night exchanging letters with the inquisitive,
combed the country in search of meeting sites and
talked to anyone who might be willing to talk - at
beaches, swimming pools, the Kibbutzim, councils and
government boards.
As for the sort of man he was, I have always been struck by both his
love for our country and nature, expressed in a
continuos thirst to natural panorama and a touching
devotion to environment, and by his rigid and
ascetic character, always urging him to subordinate
his private self to an active public self. Until his
last breath.
Beyond the privilege to take part in it, this lifework which Pinhas left
us also grants us a duty: to nurture it in his
spirit as well as we can, so we may save it for our
successors.
